American Beverage Industry: Innovating for a Better World

By Dez Duran-Lamanilao

Innovation is the result of a meticulous and comprehensive process of studying and experimentation of an idea. Without it, companies take the risk of being left out by their competitors and the industry in which they belong. It requires creativity, infinite imagination, strategic identification of a company’s competencies, assets, and needs, and resources to execute the idea.

Let us take a look at the companies in the beverage industry from around the world that made it to the Forbes Top 100 Most Innovative Companies 2016. They were ranked by their innovation premium, which Forbes defines as the difference between market capitalization and the net present value of cash flows from current businesses.
